Michael Acton, Managing Director, AEW
Michael Acton directs the activities of AEW’s in-house research group. He works closely with the Fund’s investment management team to develop the Fund’s investment strategy and criteria. Mike joined the firm in 1990 and has 37 years of experience as an economic analyst and forecaster. Prior to joining AEW, he was with DRI/McGraw-Hill where he managed the Metropolitan Area Forecasting Service. He is a CFA charter holder, a member of the CFA Institute and CFA Society Boston, and a Counselor of Real Estate.
Andrew Nelson Founder, Nelson Economics
Andrew Nelson is a real estate economist and author, focusing on property market dynamics, demographic analysis, research methods and modeling. Andrew has broad research experience across major property types with a focus on the office and retail sectors. He is the lead writer for the Urban Land Institute’s annual Emerging Trends in Real Estate publication and a contributing writer for Propmodo and Seeking Alpha. Prior to founding Nelson Economics, he was Chief U.S. Economist for Colliers International, where he led the national research team, and managed the U.S. Research & Strategy team at Deutsche Asset Management (RREEF).
Colin Yasukoshi Executive Director, CBRE
For over 20 years, Colin Yasukochi has specialized in strategic research and advisory services in commercial real estate. He currently serves as Executive Director of CBRE’s newly formed Tech Insights Center, based in San Francisco, CA. A pioneer in researching the tech industry’s impact on commercial real estate, Colin has been lead author of CBRE’s tech-focused thought leadership pieces, including Scoring Tech Talent and Tech-30. He previously served as CBRE’s Director of Research and Analysis for the Western Region.
