REAA Sacramento presents “Swiss Army Knife: Retrospective Appraisal from Date of Death to Disaster”

January 28, 2025 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Instructors: Brian Melsheimer, SRA and Debbi Riggs

Are you expanding your business into private party appraisals?
This is an exciting new class offering that will discuss the use and requirements of retrospective appraisals. Content includes an in-depth look at pre- and post-wildfire disaster appraising. Additionally, they will cover various types of other retrospective non-lending appraisals. They will highlight clients who may need an appraisal due to date of death, insurance settlement, estate valuations, and litigation support. Scope of work, methodology and process, data selection, and different report formats will also be discussed. Specific Extraordinary Assumption and Hypothetical Conditions case studies will be shared to demonstrate this unique process. Lastly, instructors will share suggestions around how to find such clients. If you are interested in expanding the non-lending client base of your valuation business, don’t miss this class!
