As California is a special place, we believe the Northern California Chapter is also truly special: particularly as a result of the January 1, 2022 merger of the former Northern California Chapter with the Sacramento Sierra Chapter.
Our newly merged chapter now provides a local framework and point of presence for the Appraisal Institute throughout 48 of California’s 58 counties representing about 64 percent of this great state’s geographic area and 40% of its population.
Covering so vast an area, the Northern California Chapter includes eight distinct branches to facilitate increased peer networking, education, and other activities at the local level. Our event calendar affords a central reference to all chapter activities as well as links to more detailed information including quick and easy online registration.
The newly merged Northern California Chapter counts approximately 650 members engaged in virtually all aspects of appraisal practice. Our chapter leadership team focuses all its efforts on our adopted mission “to serve our members through education, professional development, and support in receiving their professional designations”.
As a testament to our mission statement, nearly 70% of our members currently hold the coveted MAI, SRA, AI-GRS, or AQI-RRS designations evidencing a high level of professional achievement and commitment to professional service. A large percentage of other chapter members are pursuing paths leading to Appraisal Institute designation.
Our chapter is proud to be a prominent contributor at the national and international levels in the appraisal profession. The Northern California Chapter is recognized for its ability to provide exemplary service to our members, appraisal and allied real estate professionals, and the general public. Services are provided by our dedicated staff that includes Executive Director Lisa Estes and Associate Executive Director Jenny Calabrese in coordination with our Board of Directors, Committee/Branch Chairs, and our numerous committee volunteers.
We hope you will visit often both virtually and at future live events.
